I liked this book from the title to the end. Saylor Billings addresses the true nature of life and what it takes to survive in a world of Predators who are happy to take advantage of your weaknesses and self-doubt for their own advancement. But it is her delightful candor that makes the book so enormously entertaining. I read it in one sitting. Although she continues to make fun of the "self-help" genre as just another opportunity for Predator's to exploit our insecurities and failures, she truly offers up a great deal of knowledge and insight on how to navigate in a world where nobody really likes you. Her sharp insight and humor are on par with David Sedaris and this book is likely to develop a cult following if it gets out there and people read it. I'm waiting for her next book!Product details

I know this is created as a parody (at least I think so), and it is indeed hilarious. Another reviewer likened the style to David Sedaris and I wholeheartedly agree. It's pithy and sharp and there were numerous places where I laughed out loud. People in casual carpool loved me. Or were frightened of me. Not sure.
Anyhow, I will say that despite the jokes and the satire, there is so much truth in it. The best piece of advice I've ever received was from fictional Lorna Tollison - do good things and don't talk about it. She's a wise woman.
